3. Plans for the future

How we will use equality information to develop and monitor our objectives

The information we have gathered will help us to identify what our most significant equality gaps or challenges are. This will form the basis of our equality objectives and equality strategy. Our strategy will also set out what steps we are going to take to fill the information gaps, including any engagement that we will undertake to do this.

How we will establish whether our policies and practices will further the three equality aims in the general equality duty

Our programme of equality impact assessments and our equality strategy will be structured around furthering the three aims. We hope to be in a position where we can publish an annual equality report that details our progress and achievements against our objectives. We also plan to benchmark our performance and publish this information at regular intervals alongside equality impact assessments.
