About East Kent Housing's Board
Our Board is made up of tenants,
councillors, and independent members, who bring not only valuable
skills and professional experience to the table, but also the
interests and needs of the communities they serve across
East Kent.
The Board has adopted, and will
now hold us to, our mission statement. We need to be able to
show that we are delivering "a fresh approach for
a better housing service in East Kent," and it is
the Board who will look carefully at how we are
performing to check that we are doing this.
The Board has ultimate
responsibility for the governance East Kent
Housing. This means that it carries out vital roles, such
as:
- Determining the strategy, performance targets, and
direction of East Kent Housing;
- Monitoring our performance to ensure that we meet
our targets and provide the best possible service to tenants;
and
- Approving the annual budget and business plan, ensuring that we
manage our finances in a way that delivers value for money to
tenants and the councils.
