What do you do?

I live in Canterbury and I am Sole Practitioner running my own Architectural and Consultancy Practice. I have worked as a building professional for 28 years.

Why did you want to be part of the Board for East Kent Housing?

I have always had a keen interest in community and housing matters. I have been involved at the ‘grass roots’ level for about twenty years, mainly through my local residents association.  When this opportunity came up I thought I could put my knowledge and experience to good use.

What do you hope East Kent Housing will offer tenants and leaseholders?

East Kent Housing has been set up to provide better and more efficient services and I intend to play my part in making sure that it does.  I feel that involving tenants and leaseholders is the key to improvement and I hope that EKH builds on the good work that the four councils have done in the past.

What do you do for fun?

I really value my home and family life. I am also Trustee of a local community group and a Foundation Governor.

Where is your favourite part of East Kent?

I love the mix of coast and countryside in the area, but my favourite place has to be Canterbury itself – it’s a great place tolive, socialise and work!
