Tenant Participation in Canterbury
For many years we have worked alongside local people who share our desire to improve the area that they live in and the services they receive. We have set out our commitment to continuing doing this in our 2010 Tenant Compact, called Every Tenant Matters.
We offer many ways for you to get involved and have your say in how your home and neighbourhood are managed. Some may take only a few minutes of your time whilst others may take more – it’s up to you how much time you can spare. Below are some ideas about how you can take part and get involved:
From your home:
- Keep up to date through the website and Tenant News
-
Take part in our surveys through Talk Housing
In your community:
- Estate inspections
- Tenants/residents associations
- For young people - find things to do on the council's Children and Youth website, Not Bored
Locally with your landlord:
- Tenant Consultative Group
- Cleaning Monitor with Mears
- Disability Forum
- Young Tenants Forum
- Sheltered Housing Forum
With East Kent Housing:
