Win your dream home makeover!

The tenant survey is now closed. We are holding an independent draw of our home makeover prize with our tenant Board Member later this month (November 2012).  We will be officially notifying the winners and updating this page, once the prize draw winners are confirmed.

What the makeover includes:

Your prize could include a makeover* for one room or the whole property, depending on what you would like. As part of your prize you can choose to mix and match from the following:

• Internal painting and decorating (including wall papering) of a room(s) done to your choice of colour and finish
• A new carpet or curtains
• Shelving or carpentry work tailor made for your home
• New lighting/lighting fittings

For example, you could choose to paint throughout your property or a newly painted room with new lighting, curtains and carpet.

* The prize includes £1000 to cover any materials for your makeover e.g. paint, wall paper, light fitting plus the cost of Mears or Morrison carrying out the work for example, painting or laying carpets or hanging curtains.

Terms and Conditions for the prize promotion:

• This prize is open to all tenants of East Kent Housing, except to employees of East Kent Housing, Mears or Morrison.
• The winner will receive up to £500 worth of decorating /home improvement services from Mears for a room of their choice in their home – your garden could count as a room if it is work that Mears or Morrison is able to undertake.
• The prize must be taken as offered and does not include any items of furniture or white goods.  No cash equivalent or other alternative prizes are available.
• The makeover work will be carried out on an agreed date -  we will try to work in accordance with your availability and you will need to make your home available for the duration of the makeover. 

• The winner must make sure that all moveable objects have been removed from the room prior to the makeover. Mears/Morrison will ensure that dust sheets are used to cover furniture and fittings that cannot be reasonably removed from the room.

• Before the makeover, the winner may be required to sign a form confirming their acceptance of the redecoration work as agree, as well as upon completion of the makeover – Mears/Morrison will have no further responsibility after the sign off of the work.
• The winner may be required to participate in publicity. EKH/Mears/Morrison may use photographs of the prize winner’s property and the winner’s comments relating to the prize for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media without notice and without any fee being paid.
