Canterbury

Canterbury City Council look after two Neighbourhood centres which provide a hub for local communities and host a range of activities.

The centres are in Spring Lane in Canterbury and Lucerne Drive in Seasalter, Whitstable.

Each venue has disabled access, free parking facilities, kitchens and CCTV. Friendly staff are on hand to show you around the building and in addition the following facilities are available:

  • overhead projector,
  • flipcharts,
  • multimedia systems,
  • TV, video and DVD,
  • photocopying service,
  • refreshments and catering (at competitive rates), and
  • internet access.

Millmead Hall, Margate

Newington Community Centre, Ramsgate

The Venue comprises of a nice large hall, which can also be divided into 2; an I.T. Suite and a large equipped kitchen. The Hall is leased and run by a Registered Charity and Volunteers. There are various groups and activities going on visit the website for details.

Newington Community Centre is our friendly local venue, run by local resident's largely in a voluntary capacity and is host to a variety of users throughout the Year.

We have various courses and workshops on a number of dates through the year, Free NHS Health Checks Weekly and our Venue is also host to Calabash Carnival Group from Notting Hill Carnival for their annual day out. There are many different fundraisers/events through the year, as well as Community/Residents Meetings and the Community Centre is also the local Polling Station. As well as all this, Newington Community Centre is available to hire for Parties and all other occasions, for fantastic prices!!!
