How to pay your rent

There are five easy ways for you to pay your rent, simply choose your local area below:

 

Ways to pay your rent in Canterbury

  • Pay your rent online on the Canterbury City Council website.  
    You will need your 7-digit payment reference number ready. 
  • Pay over the phone by calling 01227 862 427 
    This is an automated phone service for credit/debit card payments. You will need the 7-digit payment reference number ready.
  • Pay by Direct Debit by contacting us on 01227 862 142. You will need your bank details ready.  If you have a question about setting up a Direct Debit call 01227 862 142 or email us. 
  • At the Post Office or PayPoint registered shop
    View paypoint locations.  If you lose or damage your payment card, please call us to request a new one on 01227 862 142 or email us
  • Pay by Standing Order You can set up a Standing Order through your Online Banking.  The details you will need are sort code 621348, account number 00000000 and your 7-digit payment reference number.  You can request a Standing Order form by contacting us on 01227 862 142 and you would need to take the completed form to your bank.

Your home is at risk if you do not keep up with your rent payments
If you don't pay your rent on time your account will go into arrears and we will take action to recover the arrears. If you find yourself in this position, always contact us. Your rent payment is due every Monday.  

 

Ways to pay your rent in Dover

  • Pay your rent online on your council's website
    You will need your 14 digit rent reference number (on the bottom right of your plastic payment card). 
  • Pay over the phone by calling 01304 872 345
    This is an automated phone service for credit/debit card payments. You will need the 16-digit number across the middle of your plastic payment card.
  • At the Post Office or Payzone registered shop using cash or a credit/debit card using your payment card.  Charges may apply. If you lose or damage your payment card, please call us to request a new one on 01304 872 296.

Ways to pay your rent in Folkestone and Hythe district

  • Pay your rent online through the Council's website
    Make sure you have your rent account number ready.
  • Pay over the phone call 01303 853 394
    This is an automated phone service for credit/debit card payments. 
  • Pay by Direct Debit
    Call 01304 751 072 to set up a monthly payment to pay your rent or for garages call 01304 751 062. 
  • Post Office/PayPoint payments - You can use your plastic payment card to make a payment in any Post Office or PayPoint outlet.

Ways to pay your rent in Thanet

  • Pay your rent online through your local council's website
    You will need your rent account number ready. (This is the 13-digit number located on the bottom right of your Rent payment card).
  • Pay over the phone call 01843 577 259 
    This is an automated phone service for credit/debit card payments. You will need the 16-digit number across the bottom right of your plastic payment card.
  • Pay by Direct Debit by 01304 751068
    You can set up a monthly payment for your rent or garage on either the 1st, 16th or 25th of the month or weekly on a Monday.
